Ryan Avalon should have spent her 17th birthday partying with her friends. Instead, she spent her birthday covered in blood. When her and her best friends, Vanessa and Ari, wind up at the Waverly Crescent Academy for the Abnormal, they are told the truth about their identities. They are something that they never thought they would ever become; something they thought didn't exist. Ari is more monster than human, Vanessa is forced to continuously prove herself, and Ryan is threatened by a council that wants to see her dead.
