There are a few things you should know about Acenes Wisconsin. ONE: it is the smallest public school district in the state, and the town itself is even smaller. TWO: last names are the game my friend, the same families have lived here for generations. each carrying a different weight of respect. You dont fuck around with last names. THREE: it's a highly religious community, but extremely bigoted. FOUR: despite being so small, Acenes has some of the best teams in the state, from volleyball to baseball, all are ranked at top five or six. Except boys basketball. The Acenes Boys Basketball Team has been number one team in the state for three years straight, and on and off again before that. FIVE: this year's team has some amazing, yet problematic, players, one being a Dercott. Luke Dercott to be exact, he's the big shot point guard with a great last name to back it up. He's pretty much the school asshole. Sylvester Romonov is a weird kid, not much into sports, but very good and very tall. He's the power forward. His last name doesn't hold much since his family is new to the area, he's into drama and the school goofball. These two boys bump heads more than any other players on the team, but the rivalry turns into something more once each realize there's more to the other.

Sage Gibson wasn't prepared for his whole existence to be uprooted and moved away. He didn't love his life, but that didn't mean he wouldn't miss it. Now he's in a small town where he pretends not to notice the looks some people give him. Maybe it's the painted finger nails? He doesn't care all that much. He's too busy trying to figure himself out and how much of his past is affecting him. With his family to worry about and his own personal puzzle that is his mind, he doesn't have time to care about what people at school think of him. He's happy enough with his one new friend and gawking at her hot brother. (He will never admit that last part out loud.) That's all he needs. And if said hot brother wants to become friends too? Well, he won't complain. Marc Yamasaki is normally a quiet guy. He doesn't like to talk too much and everyone has just accepted that. He doesn't have much to say, so why try? He's too tired of trying to get people to care. When a new boy shows up, suddenly his interest is piqued. The freckled face boy is good at basketball and he's a little cute. Sure, he likes to talk a lot, but Marc finds it oddly adorable. The only slight problem is his hesitation to join the team, and the fact that he might be flirting with Aria, Marc's sister. He can't tell if he wants to hate or like this guy. Then he finds out he's gay? Cherry on top. So, what happens when the two boys get closer while playing basketball? Their friendship gets to feeling a little... odd. What will they become when a new tension starts to settle over them?
