Sometimes it might seem like the universe just hates you. In Danny Hamasaki's case, Fate itself has conspired to make life as difficult as possible. Being part dragon was already hard enough, but he definitely doesn't remember signing up to be a chosen one.

After a disastrous beach trip sends him to a school for people like him, he finds an impossible destiny in store for him, one that threatens to throw the entire world into chaos. 

The world has changed. Gods are on the brink of war while the greater populace lives in blissful naivety. To save his own life and prevent the earth from being torn apart, Danny must dive into the realm of Japanese myth to recover a sacred artifact lost to history.
