Two poems about a man just come home from the war. The first speaks of how he feels all alone, and how he has forgotten to feel and love.
The second speaks of how the battle is still continuing in his mind, though he's away from the war. The memories still traumatize him, and he hopes that he will someday be the man he used to be.
Both of these poems are featured as songs in a musical I am writing/ composing called Rose.
Although these were written with a specific character and situation in mind, I hope that everyone will be able to relate to these somehow. Everyone feels alone at some point in their lives, but there is always hope.
