When a shy, intelligent teenager moves to Baltimore, Maryland; it's the start of a new chapter in her life. A chapter that she wishes she could tear up. How can she cope with her past? How can she ever become close to someone again after all that has happened? How can she overcome her inner self? And how can be the simplest words be the hardest of all? Cover illustrated by the lovely @louistomlinhoe who I'm entirely grateful for their time, effort and work -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, this is my first attempt at writing in a few years. I'm severely out of practice and it's probably all over the shop and awful to read but, to be honest, I hadn't intended to publish it on here or show anyone. I started writing it for me - I'm going through a rough time personally and writing this was avenue to keeping my mind occupied and somewhat sane while I deal with everything. While I do have a concrete plan, plot and ending in mind for this story do not expect regular updates to the parts. Some days I find it hard to write through creative/personal issues or both so it might take some time for me to complete it. With that said, you are all most welcome to read it but remember this is for me, it's not going to be a finely tuned piece of writing - I except that there are more talented writers on here (some of which I enjoyed immensely) but for me it's not writing an amazing piece. If you think it's rubbish that's fine - look elsewhere. If you think it's good that's great and thank you for reading! Brian
