"What is it short for," he wonders out loud. "Why don't you take a guess," I suggest to him. He stops and thinks, caressing his chin like a Disney villain. "Is your full name Lucille? Ooh, what about Lucinda," he stares at me waiting for me to confirm one of his guesses. 

"You want to know my full name," I ask and he responds with a quick, "yes." "If you really want to know," he waits. His anticipation, thick in the air. I let a small smile slip as I announce, "It's Lucie, short for Lucifer."

Lucifer Van Doren, aka Lucie, was born and raised in New York City by her single mother. She didn't socialize much. Actually she didn't socialize at all. Lucie kept to herself.
