The government is scared of The Others. The orders are, if anyone is seen to show any signs of abnormal habits, they are to be taken away to the labs immediately. If a fight breaks out they must be taken down without questions. The Others are a groups of individuals that separate from main society. They each possess a unique ability. In Echo's case-telepathy. Her abilities first surface when she was thirteen years old, and she then learns to control it, and hide it. She hides it from her sister for five years.
