In this spin-off direct sequel to The Marvel Games: The Next Avengers, Tony and Allie are still recovering from the Games. Meanwhile, Allie's younger brother, Ren, is facing his own problems. Kidnapped and turned into a super soldier, Ren must plan his escape with the help of strangers who may be more like him than he knows.
Tony can't sleep. Plagued with nightmares, he relives the Games every night in his dreams. In the waking world, someone has put a hit out on Tony: dead or alive.
Allie wants her brother back. Shocked out of her post-Marvel Games trauma by Ren's disappearance, Allegra Barton has one priority on her mind: finding her brother and making his kidnappers pay.

Two of A Kind
In this alternate universe, Loki is sent to Midgard after the fight over the Aether. The Avengers question the Allfather's sanity, but agree they would rather have Loki where they can keep an eye on him. So, after some extensive remodeling, the Avengers Tower and neighboring facilities are now an extensive training ground with everything they'll need to reform the once proud Asgardian prince. Thor is hopeful. He wants the brother he thought Loki was back. Clint (Hawkeye) is waiting for a reason to exact some much deserved revenge. Steve (Captain America) has hope that even the most hardened of evil doers can be changed for the better. No one quite knows what Natasha (Black Widow) is thinking. Tony (Iron Man) resents having to share his tower with a psychopath. Bruce (Hulk) did not fly away to Sakar. He's brooding away in his own private wing. Scott (Antman) is under house arrest... at the tower. Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is still mourning her brother while nurturing a still very naive Vision. (Neither are living in the tower. Will only play small, fleeting parts in this story.) Dr Strange refuses to move into the tower. After all, it is more important to keep up with his work at the Sanctum. Peter (Spiderman) is spending his summer at the Tower, much to the dismay of Aunt May, who knows how dangerous this is, but does not know Loki has returned. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Marvel At What Could've Happened
Imagine: The Battle of New York never happened. In fact, nothing after Loki's capture and imprisonment on the helicarrier actually happens. Loki never breaks out, Banner never hulks out, Barton attacks the ship but is unsuccessful, and (let's be honest, most importantly) Phil Coulson doesn't die. The Avenger's plan goes right. Loki is their prisoner. Okay, now you can read! Keep in mind that because the Battle of New York doesn't happen and (oops) I'm a huge sucker for Loki, this story really plays in his favor. If you're of the 1% of the world who doesn't at least secretly like him, don't read! Not rated M but please be aware of strong language in later chapters!Complete
