Every century there would be an event for the royal kingdoms

The event involves a princess from each house, but no one would know what it entails, and when each event ended, a princess would be missing, and the ones left with no memory of what had befallen her, or what had happened to them during this event

This year is the twelfth event

Ismie is not your typical princess. She is neither of great beauty, grace, or intellect

She doesn't seem to fit with any of the princesses, so when the upcoming event is announced, and she's the one chosen to represent her kingdom it's no wonder, or that's what the other princesses think

Especially since the royal families are the ones who pick the princess, and are only required to send one, regardless of her qualities

There are many millions of parallels. Worlds living and breathing at the same time - time doesn't even exist, 18th century England is living and breathing alongside the present day. While London is living in the past, Afalon is pushing toward it's future. 7 sons, a rare and lucky amount, are Princes in line to the throne. Melanie is in the 18th century, conning each village out of their wares in exchange to see but an inch into their future. Then, after an unlucky exchange, she's dragged into the floating court-city of Afalon in the Æther - another world entirely - to stand trial for someone else crimes. Trial by fire. Trial without end. Ameline has been busy pillaging and murdering her way through Afalon for months, making the ælfin pay for what they did to her family. Then, on a whim, she decides to go big or go home. She kills one of the Seven Princes. Those same princes who embody the attributes of each deadly sin... Now, another girl is brought from her homeworld, Earth, to stand trial for Ameline's own crimes. Worse still... she recognizes her face so, so much. It's her own. A doppelgänger. A modern twist on terrible childhoods and anti-heros. Melanie and Ameline's story is a page-turner you certainly need to start, but with such tragedy and twisting themes of joy and horror you'll want to finish. 24 parts Complete

Amantha is not ready to be anything other than a wild, tomboy princess, but when tragedy strikes this unlikely royal is called upon to rule a kingdom. Scared to grow up, she runs away from responsibility and finds a new world in an adventure to find out who she really is inside. While Amantha is no princess in distress, she has much to learn about the world of magic and mystery and along with the help of a beautiful boy with a secret past, she uncovers the fairy tale world that lives right outside of her kingdom. "When I was little, I didn't believe that there was magic. I had been taught that no elves, witches, leprechauns, unicorns, harpies, trolls or dragons had ever existed. No one could turn into anything else and everything happened for a reason. Now that I'm older, I realize that even if a tutor told me those things, you can't believe everything people say. I happen to know that magic exists because I have seen it with my own eyes. If you believe that dreams come true, they will. And fairy tales aren't only in story books."
