Amelia has been in the foster care system in the state of New jersey for almost her whole life. Eli came from the wrong side of the tracks, born to parents who didn't care for him, and he winds up in the system somewhere down the line. The two cross paths a few times, but don't know anything about each other, until they wind up in the same foster home, searching for someone to understand them. Soon, they begin to trust each other, and share secrets that they only know themselves.
