Many forget that the goddess of love was born from the raging sea, but she would do anything to protect her daughter. Adora was Aphrodite's last daughter. Her mother kept her hidden. But, her mother isn't the only one who can keep a secret, especially in a world where your role in society is everything. For there was a prophecy long before she was born: 'Aphrodite's last child would be the one to take the throne, Her paternity unknown. They would carve her face and never forget, for she would be the most beautiful that they had met Cursed for the same fate as her mother Forced to leave her love for another The only way she shall break this curse is if she defeats the first' "Looks like the princess doesn't need saving after all." He says, quietly enough that no one else would hear, as he draws his hand away from my arm. I glare back at him. "Maybe she never did," I walk away, not sparing a single glance back, no matter how much my body was begging me to. I fuss over my hair, pouting as I run my fingers through it to put it back into place. *A warning note* I am not an expert on Greek Mythology, but it interests me greatly. Please excuse any inaccuracies in the book, but if there are any please do message or comment it and I will see if I can change it without making such a huge difference to the plot. Also, my main character is autistic and the experience will be different for everyone. I have tried my hardest to put down on paper how I feel and how I believe others see me. So, please be respectful about the decisions my characters make as I have chosen to give them many different types of neurodivergent brains. I have tried my best to represent these in the most accurate light whilst not romanticising them.

Aphrodite was only 17 when her mother and grandmother were killed in a rogue attack. She blames herself for what happened, thinking if she just went with her dad, maybe they would of both made it out and still be alive. The guilt has rooted it's self so deep into her mind that she claims she doesn't even want a mate. That if she found him, she would reject him and carry on with her life. She watched her dad struggle with the pain of losing his mate, she doesn't think she could survive that. Not only is she fighting battles within herself, some of her peers in her pack make it known that they think she is the cause of the losing their Beta Female. All of that comes crashing down when she meets her mate. Will they be able to over come the secrets that are rooted in their packs?

Pretending to hate Aphrodite, Thanatos manages to hide his true feelings which takes a toll on both of them. Thanatos has no idea what he's doing. Past trauma rules over Aphrodite at night causing nightmares and panic during the day. Aphrodite has no idea how to live life outside of pain. Abuse has a way of shaping people, and she's barely mended from being so broken. Both have friends that force them closer but their love might just be the reason why they end up staying together. Afterall, someone can only stay away from the person they're in love with for so long. One argument and a couple of confessions later leaves them on a confusing path that has the opportunity to be beautiful or disastrous. Love is magical but it is also savage. For Aphrodite and Thanatos, they are each other's downfalls and each others saviors. How long they last is up to them. How much they go through to get together is up to fate. However the children of Aphrodite can be just as skilled as the ones of Athena when it comes to tactics on the battlefield. They just need to study their enemies for a few seconds and then they would be able to come up with a perfect plan. One particular son of Aphrodite seeks to prove this and make his mom proud. Due to an unfortunate event in his life he doesn't have his voice to help him, so he has to rely on what he can accomplish with his physical and mental skills. Of course this wouldn't be a story of a child of Aphrodite without love.
