Since the creation of America, meta-humans have existed, and since the creation of America they have been hidden away. No one knows about these forgotten souls, deep underground.
It's the first day of Thomas's new job. He's going to be the assistant of a professor in an underground lab for researching special humans, and it pays amazingly! The hours are great too- maybe he'll like this more than he expected. The briefing /did/ say no one would get hurt.
