Jamaa used to be a peaceful land where the inhabitants could live and compete in friendship. However, when the chief deity, Zios, was sealed away in the Phantom Realm, chaos reined. Phantoms flew across the land, spreading darkness and destruction, either killing Jammers or turning them into Phantoms. Zio's mate, Mira, and the Alphas scramble to form an army, and the war begins to hold what few lines they have against the monsters.
Honey, a young grizzly is the only survivor of an attack on one of the last stable villages in Jamaa. Her surviving of the attack led many to shun her, to believe that she was cursed somehow. Not letting that stop her, Honey does what she can to help in the war, even enlisting in the Army to help fight the fiends. When she does, she finds out more than she would expected as she proceeds down a path of power, survival, romance and deception. Will she help Jamaa turn the tides like she wished, or plunge them further into the slaughter already forced upon them?
