In 1953 a certain laboratory in an undisclosed location developed a serum that could genetically modify humans, giving them enhanced speed, agility, strength, and brain power.
Scientists found a way to modify the serum to only activates itself in the presence of a Y chromosome making only man able to receive the alterations, due to the female discrimination at the time.
The sales of the serum skyrocketed! It was a success, just weeks after it was released... At least, for the time being.
What the developers didn't anticipate though, was the human body's incapacity to handle the serum. The mental and physical over-exhaustion triggered a mental decay which starts out slow but speeds up exponentially within a few months after usage of the serum...
The brains of the users are now left with only primal reflexes, leaving the users in to strong, agile, and fast emotionless shells, feasting on anything in its path.
Bites from the affected users could place copies of the rouge serum into the bodies of others, giving them symptoms as well. Shortly after, the rouge serum has evolved itself in to a sort of virus, causing mental decay in just days.
No one is safe..
...except for the women.
