Ever since she was appointed as an apprentice at her apprentice ceremony, Aspenpaw had hallucinations and dreams that had demolished the peace that restored hope in the forest. The murkiness of death and fate encircles the innocent warriors of her clan as an effective, yet perplexing prophecy awakens in the depths of darkness. The bitterness and untrust rise under Aspenpaw's pads, and soon enough, harmony has been shattered at last.
Along with Hopepaw and Leafpaw, they uncover the riddle behind the crisis that has been generated. As the disaster strikes with little time left, the three must return clan peace before it's too late. Will the three be able to revive peace from the darkness rising, or will the order be restored by death?

Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging.
