Technology is what made us thrive. It gave many jobs, and gave bored kids something to do. It gave teachers more resources, authors more platforms, and gamers more, well, games. But technology is also what destroyed us. 
  The makers of the VEX had warned us. It'd crumble, and take society.
  And they were right. Technology fell, and took us with it. We call it the Prophesied Age. But we still have something HOPE.
  The maker of the VEX has decided that the top five on the scoreboard would go back into the game, and save it, along with society.

I knew he didn't mean to have the dark side but it was the only way to make sure he stays alive. Anyway, the Black Dawn is a place to protect Humans from 'them' and now it's the opposite. It's a place where secrets are kept hidden and betrayals are just around the corner. Plus 'they' are knocking on the wall that surrounds us to let 'them' in and someone may open the door to our doom.
