How was this possible? Kaia was this 'Katara's mother? Wait, was Katara my mother? I'm so confused. He shielded her with his lean body, protecting her maybe? "Get away from my daughter, before you regret not doing so." He was persistent, because he only held her tighter than before. "Ma'am, we were only talking, nothing more.. " He tried to reason with Kaia. She only got angrier. As she moved toward them, it suddenly got hotter, and her eyes, Kaia's eyes glowed a fiery red. Out of nowhere, a fireball shot in the direction of the man and lady, Jude and Katara, but instead of burning them, it was blocked by thunder and lightning. Then Kaia's eyes slowly moved to my direction. Oh no. All the things around me, including time itself, seemed to come to a standstill. Everything, that is, apart from the fireball coming my way. How did she even know I was here? I was invisible. And panicking, I was panicking. I had no idea where I was or what I could possibly do. But in all my panicked state, I managed to hear a voice, Jude's voice, in my head, telling me to run. I looked to his direction to see if he was indeed talking to me, but there was fire, thunder in the sky and lightning bolts everywhere. I had to run, but my feet were stuck. I couldn't move! The fireball was coming at a shocking speed, I could feel the heat from where I was so I did the only thing I thought would be rational. I started screaming. --------- My name is Nodi. I was so happy because finally, I was going to graduate from college next year, finally I was going to be twenty next year and finally I was going to get the freedom I deserved. Everything was falling in place. Or so I thought....

In The Eyes Of Fate Series (Book One) "Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her.
