Hudson Green has been madly in love with Birdie Pierce ever since they were kids.

But there's a problem. She's dating his twin brother, Reggie.

As the Summer before their senior year starts, Reggie decides to leave St. Mary's and head up to Maine to spend time with their Father. The very Father that abandoned them when they were born. Hudson loathes the guy, but what he doesn't realize is that staying home might be it's own form of torture.

Because Birdie is here, and she seems to want to spend every moment with him.

Birdie Pierce just wants to get out of this going nowhere town, and become the artist she has always dreamed of becoming. But, what about Reggie?
Well, Reggie has his own dreams, and it seems that they don't really include Birdie anymore.

So, while the days heat up, so does Birdie's strange attraction to Reggie's twin brother Hudson. Could it just be because he looks like Reggie or is it because Hudson is the complete opposite of him?

What they both know is they shouldn't be looking at each other the way they are, but fate is about to catch up to them. Because an accident strikes, leaving both their lives in shambles.
