You gape at the sneering girl. Jacinette seems indifferent, though.
"Hello, Lory," she simply states.
"Jacinette.." The girl, Lory, snarls, glowering at you and Jac.
You are flabbergasted. Jacinette knows this strange girl?
"Jac, you guys know each other?" You ask.
She nods, and Lory shakes her head. "Unfortunately," she says. Your eyes widen. When she isn't growling, her voice is incomparable and riveting, like a small, lithe flute.
"Oh," You murmur.
"I didn't introduce you guys," Jac groans. "I got so caught up! Where were my manners! Anywho, as you guys already know, I'm Jacinette, or Jac for short. Panther, this is Lory. Lory, Panther. Panther, Lory."
"Hi, I guess." Lory shrugs indifferently. "I'm Lory."
"Oh, ummm.. I guess I'm Panther."
"Why are you called Panther?" Lory queries. "It's okay if you don't tell me."
"She's a shapeshifter!" Jacinette squeals. "Isn't that sooooooo cool!"
"Cool. I'm a telekinetic, and if you didn't know already, Jac is crazy." Lory smirks at Jacinette's indigent face.
"Not only that, but she's a N-U-I-S-A-N-C-E." You spell out. "And even worse... Jac here is an optimist."
Lory grins. "I can see we're going to be friends."
"One quandary, though." You say.
"What's a quandary?" Jacinette asks. You and Lory shrug at the same time, then start smiling, and after that rolling on the floor snorting, laughing and giggling.
"You guys are worse that me!" Jac scolds.
"No! Our brains aren't haphazard! Plus, we're not optimists." Lory says the word 'optimist' like it's a disease. You smile.
