Since the beginning of the rumor of Arden Weely's father being a mortal, she has been taunted by classmates all the way though high school. After her father left when she was just a baby, her mother has taken care of her since. Her mother is a 'deiman', weak, but most common breed of their species. A deiman is a demon of light and day. There are many different species like a nihman, who are the most powerful and the most intolerable. Soon what she finds out is that she may not be just a deiman.. and will find her true soulmate.
