It's been a rough few years for Madison, especially growing up with her mother who seems to care less about what happens to her daughter as long as she's not around. Thankfully, Madison attends Hogwarts and stays there for most of the year, so she doesn't have trouble finding a place to stay when her mom doesn't want her presence.
The troubled teen unfortunately has no other family, at least not that she knows of... yet. When she's invited to stay at Grimmauld Place 12 by Sirius Black with Harry and his friends, she agrees.
Meanwhile, Sirius has been keeping secrets for 15 years from everyone except his best friend, Remus Lupin, and he's doing his absolute best to avoid anyone finding out that in fact, the young girl he has invited to come over is his kin. Madison has her own way of finding out things though, and when she finds out who her father is, there may be mayhem along the way...

Its been two years since the marauders have graduated. James and Lily are married with a baby on the way, and Sirius and Peter are very busy with the Order. Meanwhile, Remus is just trying to survive his transitions in such a volatile time. No one wants to hire a werewolf, and the Order isn't well enough equipped to handle the full moons. Dumbledore offers him a position at the Hogwarts library as an assistant. There he can do research for the Order, as well as spend his moons like he did during his school years. Tessa Downing is a sixth year Hufflepuff. After a summer of chaos and hiding, she's having trouble transitioning back at school. Constantly worried about her muggle parents, Tessa's grades slip and she begins to spend more time at the library. Thankfully the new assistant is willing to help her.
