2017 English short story assignment to act as a sort of example of my writing- being limited to 800 words and a certain set of genres is not fun. SciFi/thriller/mystery I guess?
A young woman gets bored of surviving dense jungle after an unexplained plane crash and goes to find herself a memorable and honourable end- Sophie ends up getting more than she bargained for, and regains her sense of self-preservation much too late.

Left Behind
She was on her way to the spaceport, to board a shuttle that would take her to one of the spacecrafts that will carry all the humans off world... or so she thought.
