"What do you know?" he asks accusingly. "Don't try to act like you know how I'm feeling with your perfect smiles and bright clothes! You're the most obnoxiously happy person I've ever met. So please Gissella, enlighten me. What do you know about what's happening to me?" I gaze past him at the sun light glistening on the tree leaves. "Declan, dont you know that all that glitters is not gold?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gissella comes from a broken past and an abusive household. She is now in the "care" of her abusive dad who has successfully turned her older brother Gabriel against her. She struggles with taking care of her 3 year old brother, making sure she graduates, and pleasing her father; all while keeping up her appearance as a normal high school girl. Declan comes from what appears to be a perfect household. He seems to have everything anyone desires; rich and married parents, a nice home, and the privilege of receiving anything he asks for. So why is he falling into a deep depression? Sometimes its not whats on the outside, its what on the inside. An Art project pairs them together. Can they help each other glue their broken pieces back together or will they cause each other to shatter further?
