Alyssa is going on a school trip with her history class to visit a mansion built in the 19th century for this extremely rich and powerful family called the Gladstones. Whilst the Gladstones were living there, their seventeen year old son, Tobias, was murdered and the case had become a famous unsolved mystery as the killer was never caught. As Alyssa is staying at the house, she starts seeing ghosts and getting creepy dreams which she believes are linked to the Tobias's murder. When she finds out it's only her and one other who appear to be experiencing these hauntings, they team up to find the truth of Tobias's murder together - only finding out deeper and horrid secrets about the family in the process.
