Scarlett is the average hormonal, unstable teenager with a few differences. First of all, she has her life mostly figured out. She's in an amazing relationship with Dean and she's on her way to becoming the next best-selling author, or editor, or librarian. She has backups. Secondly, she suffers every day of her life from crippling depression, but that only motivates her more. If she works hard now, she'll be happy in the future, right? But Scarlett's entire world is dissolved by the piercing, crystal blue eyes of the equally tortured new boy. Nate may be dating Scarlett's best friend, but he only seems to have eyes for Scarlett. Is she willing to destroy her relationship with Dean for a chance with Nate? Is she willing to obliterate her friendship with Jinx after all they've been through? More than anything, is she willing to love Nate, even when it becomes apparent that he isn't what he seems?
