"Welcome to my world" is a collection of poetry that I have written throughout different periods in my life. The content and writing approach reflect my age and the things I was either going through or thinking at the time. I have never really shared much of my poetry before as I'm kind of sensitive about it but I'm going out on a limb here. I hope that some of the things you read touch you in one way or another. Not all of my poems are poetic in the general sense... meaning some just don't rhyme. Feel free to leave comments and express your opinion. Hopefully you enjoy the trip inside my mind. The Age Of Aquarius: Awakening My Emotions Through Poetry
This is a collection of pieces that tell the story of how I came to embrace ALL of my emotions through poetry and discover my true authentic self. It's based in core human emotions as well as influenced by the stages of grief as I grieve the death of the cold and angry self, and embrace the birth of the new, emotional self. Also influenced by a bunch of music. I am a first generation Palestinian woman who writes about all things good Arab girls shouldn't be doing and I don't care. Read me like a book. Wave (Book 2)
I had survived the first. That was then; this is now. The blindfold of so many pills slowly died away and first though my finger then my head, a passion, a hurt and a need filled me as every moment was consumed with words; every breath with wisps of ink. But they were not all captured and somewhere in the deep abyss of living, lies the unspoken, almost unfelt feelings of decades in months. This is the half-empty account off all those nights from December through into the new year and the end of March. ...I pains me to share it. But it also makes it just not my problem anymore and that is something I long for- freedom and peace.
