Shadow the Hedgehog doesn't know the importance of love. His heart is guarded within steel walls, therefore he blocks most friendly relationships. So when Amy invites him to a party, Shadow has no idea of how to react. Then, when a certain blue hedgehog shows up the same night, Shadow opens up a bit. Will Sonic be able to penetrate the heavy layers of loss and hurt, to help show Shadow the real meaning of love?
