The fastest way to the top is to kill everyone above you. Twenty years ago, 0.01% of the Earth's population, a million and five hundred thousand people, manifested supernatural abilities. Overnight, superheroics became a reality. Men and women using their powers to benefit society, with only a fraction of that number subverting their gifts for selfish reasons. But the powers came with a catch: each kill made them stronger. Those who were willing to murder grew powerful. Those who had stood on the side of the law switched allegiances. Militaries and police forces swelled with superhuman members trying to find a way to legally strengthen their powers. And any who persisted in calling themselves 'superheroes' quickly found themselves outgunned and outmanned--this isn't going to go the way you think.
