"Love?" he shouted, his voice echoing through the room. "Yes," I whispered, stepping closer. "Yes, I'm in love with you." My hands trembled as I cupped his face, hoping he would feel the truth in my touch. But he jerked my hands away and turned toward the balcony, his back to me. Confusion and fear twisted inside me. This was the first time I had ever confessed my love-and this silence was not what I expected. For a moment, the world stood still. Then he turned around. His eyes glistened with tears, but he quickly wiped them away. When he looked at me again, they were red-not with pain, but anger. "I don't trust your love," he said coldly. "I know what you're after. My money, not me." The words struck me like a slap. "I know your so-called innocence is just an act to impress my family," he continued, his tone dripping with disgust. "And clearly, you've succeeded." "Zaki, why are you saying this?" My voice broke as tears burned my eyes. "Please... look at me." "I'm not a fool to fall for your drama," he snapped. "This is my last warning-don't ever try your acts on me again." And with that, he stormed out, without even a single glance back. I stood frozen, my heart shattering into pieces. Why is it always me who ends up in pain? He crushed my love and made it feel worthless. I only wanted to prove that my love was pure-but instead, I failed. And all I could do was cry, alone in the silence he left behind. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Meet Ruha Shazam, a 22-year-old orphan who grew up in an orphanage and now carries its legacy while pursuing her master's degree. Not to protect him. Not to save him. But because she knows the truth of what happened... and she cannot bear to confess it. They have never met. But the moment they do, the air turns sharp- full of tension, unspoken accusations, and the kind of hate that feels too much like longing. He despises her for a sin she never committed.
