Baker's Dozen

17-year old Vanessa Miles works at her family's bakery every summer. Each summer has been the same, icing cupcakes, mixing batter, popping pastries into the oven, and maybe sometimes a little taste testing when her mother isn't looking.
But when a boy her age needs a job and her mother gives one to him right at Best Bites Bakery, Vanessa's 'same old' summer is no longer 'same old'.

** This a story I started to write when I was 12 years old. I don't think it's something I will continue writing, considering it's not-so originality and cliche storyline. Read anyways, if you like. :)
