    - Nathan Sharp was just a boy who was abandoned by his parents when he was fifteen. His parents were mutes, so he never learned how to speak very well. He only knows sign language, but can understand regular English speech. 
    
    -Mathew Patrick learned sigh language so he could communicate with his deaf best friend, Stephenie. When Nate came to his school, the school asked Matt to be Nate's helping hand.
