Step after step, each foot pounded against the asphalt, sending sharp jolts up the traveler's bones. The blazing sun glared down on the bleached road, causing a bead of sweat to trickle down the carrier's forehead. The land around the long, thick road was flat and barren, and a yellow-ish green color from the crumpled, dying grass that should have burnt up years ago. Forests swirled around the outer rim of the letter carrier's sight; the trees would have been a dark green but now burnt in various colors. Not a cloud was in the sky to block the sun, but the carrier was happy. Rain in this land was dangerous, just as the forests, water and stones. The carrier was exhausted, he had barely slept last night after fear that the monsters would find him, and the sun didn't help either - especially after days of constant running with little food. But the carrier didn't slow. He was too afraid that a bit of magic would trickle out of the forest, and this magic had acquired a taste for blood. _ © xdaniluvsturtlesx (Willow Hatfield) Please don't steal. Unbeknownst to humans, there is an invisible world just beyond their own where Mother Nature and Father Time work together to keep the earth in balance; however, when a prediction is made that a threat to their world will rise, its up to Mother Nature's daughter, Terra, to stop it. Preview: "Aqua!" Terra cried as she ran to her badly injured sister. She quickly fell to her knees and cradled her sister in her arms. Her whole body was littered with burns, cuts, and bruises. It looked as if she had beaten to a pulp. Her eyes began to flutter open. She gasped and tried to get away from Terra until she realized that it was Terra. "Terra?" Aqua croaked out in a hoarse voice. "Yes, Aqua, it's me. Don't worry I will get you out of here." Terra reassured as she began to gently help Aqua sit up. "Terra, where is Aura?" Aqua asked in a raspy voice. Terra paused and thought for a minute. Where was Aura? "I don't know. She actually led me here, but I don't know where she went." Terra admitted as she looked around for Aura. "Does she have anything to with what happened to you?" -This story is not edited so please excuse the mistakes for now. Thank you for reading!!!
