Before you knew it, All Might saved you from a situation that no one else could have saved you from. You were discovered to have a very dangerous quirk, and no one seemed to want to adopt you. The orphanage forced All Might to take you back after an incident that happened in the hands of young you. He was forced to be by his side, and although the softie couldn't say no, he had to have other people take care of you.
