He watched her from the table across the room in her favorite coffee shop. He couldn't help but notice the bruises scattered upon her caramel skin that were almost unnoticeable.

She grasped the hem of her tattered blue cardigan and tugged it upward, whilst looking around to insure that no one had seen what he had done to her. Just when she began to lower her head she spotted a man. A handsome man, at the back of the small coffee shop. She couldn't help but notice a pair of piercing forest green orbs, starring right back at her.

He was a powerful man. She was a powerful woman, in the shoes of a weak one. But he was stronger, and he would have her.
