Megatron, the evil warlord who had plagued the galaxy for so long, had finally given up and disappeared. Cybertron and Earth celebrated his absence, but his presence was found once again, only twenty years after the war ended.
Knowing he needed to live, to remember those he had wronged, Megatron went back to Earth and found himself a home in an old energon mine. He was alone for years in sorrow and regret until one day, a little insect wormed her way into his life.
Minerva Bryce wanted an adventure. She was tired of a life of training and lectures from her grandfather. After countless attempts to run away, the curious girl found herself sitting at a desk with an open file sitting in front of her. A classified, top secret file about abandoned alien mines. Turns out, she wasn't the only one who thought they'd be a good place to hide.
While the two are destined to meet, another great power is rising that will threaten both Cybertron and Earth. Optimus races to find Megatron, knowing he is the only one who can help them, despite what his other Autobots think. Soon enough, familiar faces and old rivals turn up as rumor of this great power and Megatron spreads. And not all of them are here for hugs.
