The Passing happens every time the kingdom of Elixe wins or gains a section of land. The land becomes a province or branch kingdom of Elixe. The Elixan government chooses 30 people from all of it's provinces between the ages of 16 and 21 to compete for the land. All of these challenges are put in place and monitored by the Elixan official, Issac Senek. The selected teens are slowly narrowed down through various challenges until one remains and is crowned the owner of the new province.
