Melody was born into a dying world. War was every where, brothers fighting brothers, friends turning on friends, you couldn't trust anyone anymore. No one was safe, there was no where to hide, the academies were the last places on earth that were remotly safe. They taught you how to fight, survive in the wild and how to stay alive. Melody, Minny (her Arctic fox) and Lyra (pronounced Lie-ra) find them-selves fleeing their homes to get into an academy. At the academy they meet many people and find some new friends. Everything is going great until one of their new friends over hears the academy leaders talking about some plans to use Melody in the war and their suspicions of her abilities. But Melody has no intensions of joining the war so Melody and her friends esacpe and are left to fend fo their-selves out in the real world. Will they survive? Or will they perish like so many others?
