Hirang

It is a story about the hardship and love story of Hirang before and after the Japanese occupation in 1942. She was a Filipina mestiza who got a lot of discrimination because of her white skin color and her race. Her father was a Spanish soldier who left her mother because his family was against their relationship, even though she was pregnant with Hirang. Because of her mother's experience, she always told Hirang to never fall in love with a soldier because they are going to ruin her life. And she did what her mother told her to. She never fell in love with soldiers until she met a Filipino soldier named Sulab, who was the appointed General in the province of Bulacan, which made her experience love for the very first time.
