Nights here were always dark and long. Sometimes an hour would feel like an entire day. Whenever I wasn't banging my head against the wall or screaming until my throat was sore, some nights were peaceful. Or at least as peaceful as they can be. I know that I don't belong here. I know that I didn't do it.
Adeline didn't deserve the terrible things that happened to her. For 3 years she's been trapped inside of the gloomy walls of the asylum. For days and nights she was subjected to terrible experiments and "treatments". What 9 year old should have to be subjected to that? But when two familiar men with black hair and bright blue eyes come and take her away, what secrets will she discover? And how far will people go to keep Adeline from learning the truth?

Because I'm still in school I won't be able to publish the book, so this might be confusing but I will explain it very shortly here: What you need to know about this world is that there are demonic creatures called the nightimps invading the human world since centurys. They are called Lightslayers and live in the otherside (kinda like a diffrent dimension on earth) where humans and nightimps can't enter. They get their powers at a ceremonie (most times when they age14. !!This story is about Alex Heart and Clio Graves and how they find out about one of the ugliest secrets of the council (the council are the rulers of the otherside). The secret: Damian Grumpy. And Alex feels stronger about Damian then he should.!! You should probably also know about the shadowslayers. They are roge lightslayers and are led by Kennie Freebird a crazy psycho who wants hell for the human world. !!This is a queer love story so if you don't like it, don't read it.
