Calla Bouchard is an eighteen year old girl whose world had recently been rocked to the very core. Thrust into a new school for her senior year, thousands of miles from her best friend, she struggles to navigate the murky new waters without making a splash. At the same time Calla’s trying to reconnect and live with her older half-brother, Russ, who seems to spend more time away from home than in it. It’s awkward and mildly humiliating, until the little progress she makes gets put out on ice in more ways than one, when Calla falls for Russ’s best friend and team mate, Kale Scott.
