Staying quiet was the only thing my mother taught me how to do. She always said if I didn't have anything nice to say then I shouldn't say anything at all but he made me feel so terrified I didn't ever think of speaking. This is the story of how silence could kill.

Without A Voice (Based On A True Story)

24 parts Complete

Imagine a life in utter silence. Imagine having your thoughts trapped in your body, craving for them to be shared. Well, imagine no further. That was my life. I was born deaf and mute, and lived with the effects for the better part of my childhood. I struggled daily while also suffering horrible tragedies at a very young age. From bullying to hate crimes, I experienced them all while still learning about the world. Most people would have quit trying. But with my family unsure of their future, it was up to me to push forward and give them hope.
