In the year 2055, humanity has successfully eradicated most diseases by using vaccinations. In the year 2058, the largest pharmaceutical corporation known as Eden announces a new vaccine; Genesis X, said to cure all terminal illnesses such as cancer and aids with a one hundred percent success rate.
2059: People are no longer dying from sickness, the vaccine stays true in its success rate. By 2063 successful birth rates plummet and after further testing, show that the populations that took Genesis X have become sterile.
2073: The Genesis X generation has produced only 544,246 people in the past decade.
2075: China tries to reverse the effects of the vaccine, and Russia follows suit.
2076: A reverse vaccine is introduced through the black market and knock off vendors called HOST. HOST is used throughout China and Russia causing irreversible damage to a person's organs. Millions die.
2078: Leaders of remaining colonies embark to merge everyone into one place, stationed in what is now known as The United Pangea.
2083, twenty five years after the introduction of Genesis X, the children of those that were left unvaccinated have been drafted as part of the EVE project.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind.
