A young woman by the name of Aeva Desdalia attends her parents' funeral unaware that their death will have a much bigger impact than it should've. At the crack of dawn the next morning, she receives a strange message that had a distinct smell of fire, a smell that has inspired fear and hatred for a long time. The young woman almost completely ignores what the message had said. The key word being almost. There was a reason the Desdalias of all people feared them. Unfortunately, her fears were well found. What will she do? Accept and be the cold lady she is known to be? Or deny and risk a war?

A/N: Hey, so this is my very first story I've ever posted on wattpad (or anywhere for that matter (let's just say I don't get the best criticism from my friends)). Anyways, I'd appreciate it if you guys didn't make bad comments and only gave me constructive criticism. I'm open to suggestions if you have any. Just a warning in case you really hate it, but there's a possibility I'll be doing gay or lesbian couples in dedication to a dear friend of mine, so just to mention in case. Please don't mind the genre, I really can't decide, I actually might change it at some point. Same for tags though I might delete some or add some. Also same for this. If you got any notification showing how many times I changed the description and message in it then I'm really, really sorry. So yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say for now. If there's anything else don't worry I'll write it in my chapters. I really hope you enjoy this story.

ABANDONED! YOU CAN READ THE START IF YOU WANT, BUT IT'S VERY MUCH ABANDONED.

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
