Call Of The Deep

I wrote this when I was 8-9 years old, and haven't edited it, or finished it. I just wanted to see if people were interested, because it is a relatively large piece of work. Please note: this is exactly how I wrote it then, it hasn't been edited, and I wasn't sure how secondary school worked, so some aspects are a bit skewed. Here is the original blurb I wrote for it:

‘I dreamt of the ocean that night, even though I’d never been there before. At least, I thought I hadn’t. Waves were trying to sweep me away but somehow I was staying put. Seeing my friends on a beach I waved, but instead of waving back they stared at me in horror! I tried to call to them, but to my dismay my voice had changed so as when I tried to speak all you could hear was a melodic scream! I could hear someone singing a song I recognised below the waves ‘we call from the sea, and dart through the waters’. Then I woke up startled by the singing in the dream. It took me at least an hour to get back to sleep. The rest of my night was dreamless.’
Fourteen year old Indigo Oannes is discovering her family heritage and has to choose between land or sea. On the way she falls helplessly in love making her decisions over her wants and responsibilities even harder. With the help of her new friends she sets off to try to find exactly what happened to her and where she came from. Her epic adventure of love, family, friendships, high school, land and sea is woven out of the expected events of being a teenager and the unexpected of myths and legends.
