The world Jason and Alaric live in is bound by ancient rules, and the most important one is that vampires and werewolves are sworn enemies. But when Jason makes the decision to spend his senior year amongst humanity, he finds himself inextricably drawn to the sensitive, attentive boy in his english class. Alaric is unlike anyone he's ever met, and he can't help but feel like they were fated to find each other. But as feelings grow between them Jason is forced to face the truth that he will never be able to expose his life as a werewolf to his new friend, and fears he will never be able to face the truth of his feelings for Alaric. Their lives become more entangled as they discover the truth about each other - that Jason is a werewolf and Alaric has been alive for centuries - and have to make the choice between their feelings or the rules of their societies.

Jason Aurelius Zephyr, a vampire with an insatiable thirst, never expected his hunt to lead him to Tristan Ulric Miller. One desperate bite, and his senses exploded with a confusingly delicious blend of werewolf and human blood. The taste was intoxicating, leaving Jason craving more of the enigmatic Tristan. Fate, however, had a far more intricate plan in store. They were bound by an ancient arrangement: an arranged marriage meant to forge unity between vampires and werewolves, a fragile alliance against a common enemy. Now, Jason finds himself tethered to the very being whose blood both tantalised and bewildered him. As they navigate the complexities of their forced union, a dangerous question gnaws at Jason's mind: was Tristan truly human, or something else entirely?
