Change is slow, until it's not.
Vi and Powder are put into foster care from a young age. Powder has been dotted on and adored while Vi has been cast to the side because she's older. Very few Foster houses are good, and most of them neglect them to some degree, but Vi is always there to protect Powder. She promised Powder she'd never leave her side. Until she's forced too. Powder and Vi stay at a foster house, the parent's adore Powder, but do not want the overprotective teenager, so they keep Powder and send Vi along her way.
