The Mayans were right.....almost. On the 23rd of December 2012, the Earth witnessed beautiful harmless meteor showers all round the planet. Beginning on the 25th of December, the world did end for the humans. The earth did not implode, the stars did not come crashing down, no giant tsunamis hit the coastlines nor did the seas and oceans have raging fires. But one prediction for the Apocalypse did come true. The dead had risen. Not for judgment by the Lord, that may not have been as scary. Very hungry and with uncommon pack intelligence they were a different breed of the undead from those seen in Hollywood. Initially only the recently dead awoke, then everyone who died on or after that day came back alive. The problem: majority of the world had died; the line for the recently resurrected was endless. But as always, humanity endures. Survival has always been something the human race has been good at. This time it will be the survival of the fittest. (Cover : Cataclysm)

In a future far from the fantasy we would all hope for, mans' invincibility will be put to the test. After a solar flare hits and wipes out half of the earth's population, the survivors have no choice than to wait for their slow but inevitable extinction. Having been raised through a wealthy family, Harvey, at the age of 21 is fortunate to experience the last days of mankind. Though seconds after the broadcast of the world's final hours, Harvey and the rest of humanity are mysteriously abducted from earth. --Man again awakens, though not in their beds at home but years later spread across a wild field of grass. Their earth that was once in a solar peril has somehow been salvaged and mysteriously replenished like new. Waking up with his girlfriend and sister by his side, Harvey journeys his way to the Mayan pyramids that are rumored to still be standing and birthing society. Hoping to reach loved ones in an already established city, they navigate through the forested jungles to realize this is not the earth they once knew and loved. Rebellious groups take upon themselves to rewrite the rules of the world as the gathering of man does not always fall on stable minds. With the help of friends and discovered life forms along the way, Harvey begins to understand why exactly their planet was salvaged. Making sense of the insensible, their adventures show evidence of not only the altered biology of earth, but also that of mankind... Bearth is 92,440 words of pure imagination and has been entertainingly my first novel ever attempted. I am just curious to see if my story can be as much fun to read as it was to write :) I sincerely thank each of you for your time, Rigo Miller-:

The Earth was once ours, beautiful, lively and perfect for life that is until. Humanity had finally done it. World War 3, a battle between humanity marked the end of all life on planet earth. They used guns, bombs, tanks, ships, planes, nukes and even worse things but...it wasn't enough. The Presence of radioactivity on the entire surface into the seas had completely made the planet extremely inhospitable and so many went underground for safety. But our species of course is too stubborn to fix our mistakes. We simply ignored them and with the greatest advancements at our hands we looked into the stars to find a new home. A new place to be, building large spacecrafts that could support a stable population for At Least a few millions of years. That could travel for lightyears in case we did find a home, in case we found another place to be where we could possibly restart ourselves again and expand into the unknown and well eventually we did find a new home, a planet called Kepler 22b...the last hope for humanity, Kepler-22b (also known by its Kepler Object of Interest designation KOI-087.01) was an exoplanet orbiting within the habitable zone of the Sun-like star Kepler-22. It was located about 640 light-years (200 parsecs) from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus discovered by NASA's Kepler Space Telescope in December 2011 and was the first known transiting planet to orbit within the habitable zone of a Sun-like star, where liquid water could exist on the planet's surface. Kepler-22 was too dim to be seen with the naked eye but was traceable enough to be a future homebase for our species but as to be careful we didn't leave fully. Humanity sent out one of its finest ships to go out into space and scout out the planet to make sure that it was habitable and not a complete waste of time. But unfortunately, and mysteriously The Ship would never return, instead plunging into the planet mysteriously for an unknown reason.

(Based off of the Year Zero Album by Nine Inch Nails- Similar concepts are used in this story, but this story is a creation of my own, but building upon the foundation of Year Zero... All Credit goes to Trent Reznor) (Also some of the characters and concepts included are from story projects I have long since cancelled, to be given another shot here) (Warning: This story is very dark and graphic, and will probably go into darker territories than most of my stories have covered) It's been a few years since Year Zero... When it all started... When All hell broke loose on this godforsaken planet... Since America decided freewill was nothin more than a passing Thought... Any American that wasn't a Bible-Thumping Fundamentalist Christian was to be put down by declaration of the president... They have eyes everywhere.... The last remaining country and they're ruthless... The scale of their reach expanding... Mexico and Canada?... Heh... Folded under pressure... It's all the great dictatorship of the United States Of America Now.... For those that scamper off to other countries, they're nothing but remnants of a long since ended war... Started by... You guessed it... The USA... No real country remains besides them... Whatever the rest of these plots of land used to be... Whatever... Countries used to remain... Heh... Laid to ruin in the wake of Year Zero... Now used as free territory where anyone scampers too... The peddling of drugs and sex workers are all one can find out here anymore.... With everything cracking at the seams... And on top of it all... This mysterious entity... The Presence seems to be lurking in the back of everyone's mind... What chances does mankind have anymore?... With this... This destruction... This cruelty... What hope does the common man have anymore?...... Guess we just do what we can... Survive....

What happens when the world stops turning the way it should? When the streets of a city once filled with life become hunting grounds for the dead? When the last echoes of civilization are drowned in the screams of the desperate, the selfish, the cruel? The government promised order. The military promised safety. Both crumbled under the weight of their own lies. The infection was only the beginning. The real horror came after. How far will a man go to keep his humanity when starvation gnaws at his ribs and the dead claw at his door? When the strong prey on the weak and power belongs to the ruthless, who decides who gets to live - and who is left behind? Is there still room for kindness in a world where mercy is a death sentence? In the ruins of civilization, the lines between savior and monster blur. Everyone has a breaking point.
