"We have to talk" I started.
"You think?" he raised his eyebrowes.
"I'm sorry for everything I said yesterday."
"Why? You meant what you said."
"I was drunk!" I felt strikes of pain in my head as I was raising my voice.
"Never mind."
He stood up and walked away. I followed him.
"Stop. Mark, please.."
"What?!" he turned around facing me and I saw his dissapointment.
"I'm sorry for what I've said."
"Don't be. Atleast now I know where we stand."
His voice was so cold I could feel shivers down my spine.
"Please.." I said as I was about to cry.
"What exactly do you want me to say? Everything is okay, honey? I forgot what you said? What?!"
He went through his hair with his hands. I saw him struggling.
"I didn't know you still feel that way about our marriage after all that has happened. If I had known, I swear to God, I would never touch you. Fuck, Lena, I started falling in love with you and than you go and say something like that. Fuck! You know what, don't worry. I won't be in your way. You just do whatever you want with your life not minding the stranger you're married to."
"Mark.." I stopped him by grabbing his hand. I felt tears running down my cheeks.
"Don't.."he stopped to take a deep breath "touch me ever again!" he growled.

I deeply inhale and after a few seconds, exhale. Sooner or later, I'll have to return. Stalling won't help. The call gave me new strengths and lifted me back up on my feet. I can't show him the consequences he made. I have to stay strong. With newfound determination, I walk back to his office. The door is still open, so I step in and close them behind me. I finally see him behind a desk, with his head enveloped in his hands. At the sound of the door, he lifts his gaze up but lowers it back down again. I almost feel sorry for him, but the alarms in my head ring, reminding me not to get tricked. He is the one, who deceived me first. I lift my head up high and loudly start to introduce myself, formally addressing him. "Hello, I am Mia Rose, your new assistant," and extend my hand. He looks at me surprised and his smile turns into a gentle one. I think I see a speck of sadness in his eyes, but my attention is drawn to his hand. "Hello, I'm Mark Adams, a professional photographer. Nice to meet you," and shakes my hand. I notice he addresses me formally as well. His handshake is strong but still gentle. I feel like he doesn't want to let go, but soon does and sits back in his chair.Complete

I have only married you because of my doll" he said rudely to me. I forcefully release my hand from his hulk like grip which resulted into breaking my bangles & a piece of glass cut into my hand. It hurt me like hell. There must be a big cut in my hand. Ignoring the pain in my hand. I showed my other hand finger towards him and said "even I was not interested in this marriage. I am kind of forced into this" Which I am not, my subconscious mocked me. But I wont give him that satisfaction. "I can hide my ugly soul beside this face but ugly ducklings like you carry their ugliness which can't even be hidden by beautiful dresses because they stain everything around them with their ugliness" his words were hurting my soul. I won't give him the privilege to see my tears. With all my power I pushed him making him stumble and fall into the pool. "Happy birthday," saying that I tried to walk away with a victory smirk but he didn't let me go. Things he did to me after that still send a shiver down my spine.
