A story about five young kids attending a prestigious academy by luck alone. Chosen through a program designed to make the school look more friendly to normal citizens, it reveals how unfriendly it really is. But this isn't a normal academy, it's an academy with magic and fantasy, and adventure. The new students have to learn how to catch up with the other students as well as learn themselves. But they also must learn to protect the world from monsters and other creatures, as one day, they plan on joining the fight against the creatures themselves. Will they learn fast enough or will they fail to be accepted?

A boy named Aiden King is living his normal teen life when his dad suddenly takes him, his cousin, and his uncle for a hunting trip in the forest. The trip takes a few wrong turns, and the four of them decide to head back. After a month passes, however, Aiden's dad decides that they should go back to the forest for a do-over. As Aiden expected though, the trip goes wrong once again. Only thing is, he didn't know that it was going to be worse then any of them could've imagined. When all the drama from the trip dies down a little, a certain someone is forced to stay with them. After a couple of days, however, this "someone" shows no sign of leaving. Then Aiden makes some friends who wouldn't exactly be considered normal in the eye of humans, and -with some of his friends from his high school- goes on a journey that nobody knew would be possible.
