One little mistake becomes the linchpin of destruction and civil war.
But unbeknownst to most of our species, there grows hope embodying a singular soul, an average normal person who decides to forsake his past and in the midst of this chaos refuses to give up, rather choosing to instill in the people a will to fight; who - for better or for worse, will change the lives of the survivors forever.
The entire area spanning miles across the county of Aldrien has turned into the land of the dead and countless undead. Moreover, the conditions of unrest before the incident were border-lining on an all out civil war between the factions controlling the region. The present situation is unclear to the world due to lack of contact from inside of the quarantined region.
Whispers that the dead man now walk in the deserted streets of New Aldrien have been heard around the world inciting mass hysteria. Some people talk about prophecies that predicted the end of the world the way ancient Mesopotamian archives mention of thousands of years ago, they say humanity has been condemned to wither out as it reaches its pinnacle.
UNDAC is countering this surging wave of panic around the world by publicly disclosing that they have managed to contain this strange phenomenon by imposing a rigorous quarantine. A research team hastily assembled from member nations to study the epidemic has begun showing positive results. They are confident that they can trace back the steps to the outburst and find its source, which hopefully will go a long way to achieve the much needed breakthrough in the ultimate goal of finding a cure.
You are the protagonist of this story who has risen again after losing everything that was loved and held dear in your heart. This journey captures you traversing the world of the fallen in hopes to survive as you struggle to find food, shelter and perhaps the absolution of mankind itself.

The Infected Mind

A Different Virus - Laura's Story
This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? To Be A Warrior
Book 7 in the To Be A Runner series New allies, V-Type zombies, rising anarchists, and a country that can't seem to find stable ground. Yep, that seems about right. It's been six weeks since Sigrid was taken down, and in those times, things have gone to chaos. A power vacuum has been created, and people are desperate to find a way to keep everything from falling apart. The cure has been created, but V-Types, the unkillable zombies, still pose a threat. We aren't even sure if the cure works on them. Unfortunately, they aren't even our worse problems. The Last Riders, a chaotic group that for a long while did nothing but cause petty chaos and take lives whenever they could, have suddenly turned darker. They did terrible things before, but with the country split and the late leader being reveled as the monster she was, they've decided there's nothing left to live for. They're determined to take us all down. That's where I come in. As I put more effort in finding a cure for my immortality, as well as keeping my children safe and happy (one child in particular), I also must work remember put the most important things first-which is getting through this second wave of the apocalypse. It's a good thing we have Colonel Sage and... Veronica to help us. The question is though, can Abel really trust them? It seems we don't have much choice in the matter, but I've learned to keep an eye on everyone. And I believe I need to look back at the Vikings, learn from them and what we have from the Edda to figure out how to stop these V-Type zombies. It's time to be a warrior. Not The Last {Rough Draft}
~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. The apocalypse came; firstly only with the side effects of another world war, the radioactive making people sick and poisoning the air and food, but then the zombies came. And they hit hard against an already fragile humankind. Not that it matters to me, really, I'm a vampire after all; no zombie can match me and is even fun to bully them around while I have the whole city for myself. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three.
